BUCYRUS, OH – Ohio Mutual Insurance Group (OMIG) associate Jim Danford has been appointed Vice Chair of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) Claims Committee.
Danford has served three years with the national group of insurance claims specialists who plan the annual NAMIC Claims Conference – one of the industry’s leading idea and information exchanges for claims managers and claims operations managers that features presentations from insurance company experts and leading industry consultants. The next conference is scheduled to be held next February in Florida.
A Mansfield area resident, Danford has been with OMIG since 1996 and served as a regional claim manager prior to his current role as Material Damage Manager. Prior to joining OMIG, Danford was a resident of Canal Winchester and held various positions over 13 years with Grange Insurance. He has earned the Associate in Claims (AIC) professional designation in addition to completing several other managerial proficiency programs.
“Jim has been an active contributor in designing the Committee’s annual seminars and I’m sure his fine work contributed to his selection,” said Michael Brogan, OMIG Vice President of Claims. “This is a great opportunity for Jim to extend his leadership outside of our company while also bringing positive recognition to Ohio Mutual.”
