BUCYRUS, OH – Ohio Mutual Insurance Group has announced a pledge totaling $100,000 over the next three years toward capital improvements for the Bucyrus YMCA childcare initiative. The YMCA began the initiative into childcare after a recent local study revealed an extreme need for childcare in the Bucyrus community.
“Ohio Mutual continuously seeks to find ways to meet the needs of our home town community, and the need for quality childcare is both an economic and quality of life issue that impacts many young families in the region,” said Ohio Mutual President & CEO Mark C. Russell. “We have a long-standing partnership with the YMCA – dating back to the donation of the land on which the current facility sits – and we are pleased to partner with them to help add this resource for the community.”

The Bucyrus YMCA recently assessed its current facility for capital improvement needs, and based on that study has developed a strategic plan to strengthen its role as a community partner. Providing a quality childcare option is a key component of this plan.
