Ohio Mutual Contributes $50,000 to YWCA Columbus

BUCYRUS, OH – Ohio Mutual Insurance Group has announced a $50,000 contribution to YWCA Columbus to support its vital mission in central Ohio.

“We have a moral responsibility to speak out and seek justice when injustice exists, and to seek ways to be part of constructive efforts that solve problems,” said Ohio Mutual President & CEO Mark C. Russell. “We want to add our voice to the conversation of those individuals and organizations speaking out publically against racism, and to support
organizations that are actively seeking to find solutions.”

One organization in central Ohio that has a long history of tackling these issues is theYWCA Columbus, an organization “dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.” This mission aligns with the Guiding Principles of Ohio Mutual and is one we are pleased to support.

The YWCA works to:
• Decrease homelessness
• Advocate for the empowerment of women, elimination of racism, and other forms of discrimination
• Provide affordable, dependable child care
• Provide leadership training for the change-makers of tomorrow.
