Ohio Mutual Receives “A” Rating from A.M. Best for 28th Consecutive Year

BUCYRUS, OH – Insurance rating organization A.M. Best has issued its annual rating of Ohio Mutual’s financial strength, reaffirming the company’s financial strength rating (FSR) of “A” (Excellent) for the 28th consecutive year.

The ratings include the three companies that represent Ohio Mutual’s intercompany pool: Ohio-domiciled Ohio Mutual Insurance Company, its wholly owned subsidiary United Ohio Insurance Company, and Maine-domiciled Casco Indemnity Company.

“We are pleased to continue our strong ratings streak with A.M. Best for a 28th consecutive year, which comes right on the heels of our seventh year of recognition on the Ward’s 50,” said Ohio Mutual President & CEO Mark C. In its rating rationale, A.M. Best cited Ohio Mutual’s strong balance sheet, favorable underwriting results, long-standing agency relationships, innovation, and stable outlook.
