Ohio Mutual Announces Local Students as Recipients of Crawford Opportunity Award

BUCYRUS, OH – Ohio Mutual Insurance Group congratulates the 2022 recipients of its annual Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award.

The three local recipients are:

  • Claudia Pifher, graduating from Buckeye Central. She plans to attend Ohio Dominican University to major in Mathematics and minor in both Insurance and Risk Management and Finance.
  • Mason Studer from Colonel Crawford High School. Mason will be attending an undecided college or university to major in Education and Business Management.
  • Ashley Davis, who will be graduating from Bucyrus High School and attending Ashland University to major in Business Management and Marketing.

 

“For more than a dozen years, Ohio Mutual has awarded college scholarships to local high school seniors,” said Ohio Mutual Human Resources Manager Casie Grau. “More than $100,000 has been awarded over this time, and we are especially pleased during times like these to  support another group of exceptional Crawford County students on the next stage of their academic journey.”

The Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award is an annually renewable $1,500 scholarship offered to three individuals either living in or attending school in Crawford County, whose chosen field of collegiate study aligns with emerging opportunities in the insurance industry. The award is renewable for up to two additional years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum collegiate GPA of 3.0 / 4.0. Recipients studying risk management or actuarial science will receive an additional $500 in the second and third years of the award. An additional scholarship year is available to any recipient who also is selected for a summer internship at Ohio Mutual.
