Mark C. Russell was appointed President of Ohio Mutual Insurance Group (OMIG) in September 2015, and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2016. He has more than 30 years of broad experience in the property & casualty insurance industry, overseeing corporate operations in information technology, marketing, agency relations, claims, customer experience, and real estate. Mr. Russell earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Ashland University and is a summa cum laude graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He has also completed additional executive training from the Harvard Business School and Indiana University, and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Casualty Claims Law Associate (CCLA), and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) professional designations. Mr. Russell serves on the boards of the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, the Ohio Insurance Institute, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies PAC, and The Institutes, which honored him with their Griffith Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. He also serves as co-chair of the Ohio-based Insurance Industry Resource Council (IIRC). He also previously served on and chaired the boards of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the Community Shelter Board (Columbus, OH).
A. Michael Heister is President of the A. M. Heister Associates Agency in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a past President of the Ohio Professional Insurance Agents Association (PIA), and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Ohio PIA Service Corporation. Mr. Heister attended the University of Cincinnati and holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
Susan Porter is the current Executive Director of BalletMet in Columbus, OH and is a former partner with the Ice Miller law firm in Columbus, Ohio, where she specialized in Labor and Employment Law and was recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer and one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Ohio. Ms. Porter is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Boston University School of Law.
John R. (Jack) Purse is a CPA and former partner with the Ernst & Young accounting firm. Mr. Purse is a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with MBA and BS degrees in Business and Economics. Mr. Purse joined McDonald’s Corporation in 1995 where he was a multi-unit franchisee until his retirement in 2008.
David A. Siebenburgen is the former President and CEO of Comair Airlines, and is now an independent consultant and advisor for a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He previously held the positions of President and CEO of Delta Connection, Inc. and Chairman of Delta Private Jets, Inc. A United States Army veteran, Siebenburgen has a B.A. degree in Accounting from Xavier University and worked for Arthur Anderson LLP prior to joining Comair. He previously served as a member of the board of trustees for Cincinnati Works, the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority, and the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Randy Walker is president of Randy Walker Real Estate Services, L.L.C and is associated with Commercial One Realtors as a Senior Vice President. Mr. Walker co-founded Hope Street Kids, a national pediatric cancer research initiative that has provided funding for research grants and fellowships at more than 50 medical institutions across the United States. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jefferson Avenue Center. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Downtown Columbus Discovery Special Improvement District. Mr. Walker is a graduate of the Ohio State University and The Ohio State University Real Estate Institute.
Thomas Woolley is co-founder and retired president of the Allenbaugh Insurance Agency, Inc. in Jackson Center, Ohio. He is a graduate of Urbana University, Urbana, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Marketing.
Karen Haefling began her career in the banking industry, where she managed marketing efforts for several banking organizations, including KeyCorp, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer from 1998-2012. She served as Vice President of Marketing at Vita-Mix Corporation before retiring in 2018. Her previous experience includes senior marketing positions for Bankers Trust New York Corp. and Central National Bank. A recipient of numerous marketing awards and a specialist in digital marketing, Haefling holds a BA in business administration from Ohio University and a MBA from Kent State University.
Bob Wheeler holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Rochester and a MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Prior to assuming the position of President & CEO at Airstream in 2005, Wheeler served as the company’s VP of Product Development and Engineering. He also held several management positions with companies owned by Airstream’s parent, Thor Industries, including Dutchmen Inc., Aero Coach, and previously with American Coach. He started his career as a manufacturing engineer for General Motors, and is a long-time Ohio Mutual policyholder.
