Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Ohio Mutual Insurance Group (“Company”, “Us,” “We”) collects, uses and discloses personal information of users of its websites, or (the “Sites”).

Keep in mind that if you have applied for insurance with us or have a current insurance policy with us, we will use and share any personal information that we collect from or about you in accordance with our Notice of Company Information Practices, which offers you certain choices with respect to the use and sharing of your nonpublic personal information. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, then please do not use our Sites. By using our Sites, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Sites’ Terms of Use, into which this Policy is incorporated by reference.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you voluntarily fill out a form on our Sites (i.e. Contact Us Page) or when you register for an account on our insured web portal, 360access®. This includes information by which you may be individually identified, such as your first name, last name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, or social security number ("Personal Information"). To access 360access®, we will ask you create a username and password that should only be known to you.

Please be aware that information we collect through 360access® may be combined with information you have provided to us offline or information we have collected from additional online and offline sources such as credit reporting agencies.

We may also automatically collect technical information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Sites and usage details. The information we collect automatically is statistical data and does not include personal information. This information helps us to improve our Sites and to deliver a better and more personalized service.

How do we use your information?

We may use your personal information:

  • To contact you or respond to communications from you,
  • To provide our Sites and any content to you,
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection, or

In any other way we may describe when you provide or for any other purpose with your consent.

Do we use cookies or other technologies?

Yes, we may log and retain certain information using "cookies." Cookies are small data files stored on your computer’s hard drive by a website. Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Sites. This type of information in cookies is collected to make the Sites more useful to you and to track sessions for registered users.

We use the following categories of cookies on our Sites.

  1. Strictly Necessary Cookies.  These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the Sites and use its features. Without these cookies, services you have requested, such as maintaining a record of your purchased items (e.g. a shopping cart), cannot be provided.
  2. Performance Cookies.  These cookies collect anonymous information on how people use our Sites to help us understand how you arrive at our site, browse or use our Sites and highlight areas where we can improve, such as navigation. The data stored by these cookies never shows personal details from which your individual identity can be established.
  3. Functionality Cookies.  These cookies remember choices you make such as the country from which you visit our Sites, your preferred language, and your search parameters. This information can then be used to provide you with an experience more appropriate to your selections and to make your visits to our Sites more tailored to your preferences. The information in these cookies may be anonymized.   These cookies cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.

You can typically remove and reject cookies from our Sites with your internet browser settings. Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings. If you remove or reject our cookies, it may affect how our Sites work for you.

We may also implement the following technologies to enhance the Sites:

(a)  Web Beacons.  A Web Beacon is an electronic image. Web Beacons can track certain things from your computer and can report activity back to a web server allowing us to understand some of your behavior. If you choose to receive emails from us, we may use Web Beacons to track your reaction to our emails. We may also use them to track if you click on the links and at what time and date you do so. Some of our third-party marketing partners may use Web Beacons to track your interaction with online advertising banners on our websites.  This information is only collected in aggregate form and will not be linked to your Personal Information.  Please note that any image file on a webpage can act as a Web Beacon.

(b)  Embedded Web Links.  Links provided in our emails and, in some cases, on third-party websites may include tracking technology embedded in the link. The tracking is accomplished through a redirection system. The redirection system allows us to understand how the link is being used by email recipients.  Some of these links will enable us to identify that you have personally clicked on the link and this may be attached to the Personal Information that we hold about you. This data is used to improve our service to you and to help us understand the performance of our marketing campaigns.

(c) Third-party Websites and Services.  We work with a number of service providers of marketing communications technology. These service providers may use various data collection methods to improve the performance of the marketing campaigns we are contracting them to provide. The information collected can be gathered on our websites and also on the websites where our marketing communications are appearing. For example, we may collect data where our banner advertisements are displayed on third-party websites. 

(d) Google Analytics.  The Sites send aggregated, non-Personal Information to Google Analytics for the purpose of providing us with the ability to conduct technical and statistical analysis on the Site’s performance.  For more information on how Google Analytics supports the Sites and uses information sent from the Site, please review Google’s privacy policy available at

Do we track information about your online activities?

Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals sent from your browser. Regardless, we do not collect information about your online activities over time, across third-party websites or through other online services.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We may share Personal Information as follows:

  • To our wholly-owned subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • To a buyer of this Company or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Company's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by Company about our Sites’ users is among the assets transferred.
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide personal information.
  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
  • To enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes through 360access®.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our customers, or others.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personal Information to third parties for those third parties’ marketing purposes.

We may also share aggregated and/or anonymized data without restriction, including to others for their own uses.

Accessing Your Information

You can review and change your Personal Information by logging into 360access® and visiting your account profile page(s).

You may also send us an email at to request access to, correct, or delete any Personal Information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your Personal Information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Your Privacy Preferences

We want to provide you with relevant information that you have requested and to honor your choices with how the Company uses your information.

Subscription Services, Email.  If we provide subscription-based services, such as email newsletters, you can make choices about what information you provide while you are subscribed. Any transactional or service-oriented messages are usually excluded from such preferences, as these messages are required to respond to your requests or to provide goods and services, and are not for the purposes of marketing.

We will not send you email newsletters and marketing emails unless you agree to receive such information. After you request to receive these emails, you may opt out of them at any time by selecting the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email. Please note that by opting out or unsubscribing you may affect other services you have requested we provide to you, in which email communication is a requirement of the service provided.

Text (SMS) Messaging.  In using our Sites or services and providing your mobile device number to the Company, you may have an option to choose to receive text messages (SMS or MMS) from us to keep you informed of developments with your insurance policy, such as claim updates or confirmation of changes to your policy. Or, we may also send you text messages as part of our security practices, such as confirming your identity or confirming a change of password.  We may also use your mobile device number from time to time to notify you of new products, services, and special offers.  Such text services are optional and do not require you to purchase goods or services from the Company. If you give us your mobile device number and opt into such text messaging, you hereby consent to the Company’s use of your mobile device number in accordance with this Policy and the Company’s Website Terms of Use. In providing your mobile device number to the Company, you further consent to receive phone calls or pre-recorded messages, including those from automated dialing systems. At any time, you may withdraw consent to receipt of such texting messaging or calls by contacting the Company or following the instructions provided in any text messages you receive.

Third party Links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our Sites by linking to trusted third party web sites that have separate and independent terms of use and privacy policies. Your access and use of such third party websites are governed by those separate agreements. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of any third party sites.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We continually strive to be in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). As a result, we do not solicit or knowingly collect any Personal Information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our Sites, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any Personal Information on this Site or on or through any of its features. If we learn we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that Personal Information.

California Residents

For individuals residing in California, we will only process and share your Personal Information as disclosed in this Policy and, if applicable, our Notice of Company Information Practices.  We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties.  We do not share your information with third parties in order that such third parties may market their goods and services to you.

United States Use Only

The Company is based in the State of Ohio in the United States. The Company provides these Sites for use only by persons located in the United States. While individuals outside the United States may access our Sites or even provide Personal Information through the Sites, we make no claims that the Sites or any of their content is accessible or appropriate outside of the United States. Furthermore, we make no claims that our use of your Personal Information will comply with any privacy laws other than those in the United States. In all instances, we will process your Personal Information as stated in this Policy

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We restrict access to your Personal Information to our employees and other authorized individuals or entities that need to know that information in order to provide requested products and services to you.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Sites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We also ask you to follow any posted policies or notices issued by the Company to assist in safeguarding your Personal Information.

Your Consent

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Sites. By accessing or using the Sites, you agree to this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy below). Your continued use of the Sites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

If we update or change our Policy, we will post those changes on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you by email to the primary email address specified in your account or through a notice on the Site home page. The date the Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
