Ohio Mutual Recognizes 2018 Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award Recipients

BUCYRUS, OH – Ohio Mutual Insurance Group is pleased to announce the 2018 recipients of the company’s new Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award.

The Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award is an annually renewable $1,500 scholarship offered to three individuals either living in or attending school in Crawford County whose chosen field of collegiate study aligns with emerging opportunities in the insurance industry. The Award is renewable for up to two additional years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum collegiate GPA of 3.0/4, and recipients studying risk management or actuarial science will receive an additional $500 in the second and third years of the Award. An additional scholarship year is available to any recipient who also is selected for a summer internship at Ohio Mutual.

The 2018 Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award recipients are:

  • Abigail Cochran is graduating from Wynford High School, and plans on attending Youngstown State University where she will major in business
  • Makayla Aichholz is from Buckeye Central High School, and she plans to attend Bowling Green State University to major in accounting
  • Isaac Pinter from Wayside Christian School will be attending Bob Jones University to major in accounting.
