[JOINT PRESS RELEASE WITH CHILDREN’S HUNGER ALLIANCE]

Columbus, OH (April 6, 2020) – Bucyrus-based Ohio Mutual Insurance Group (OMIG) presented Children’s
Hunger Alliance (CHA) with a check for $100,000 to help feed children across Ohio amid the coronavirus
outbreak. Many children’s lives have been disrupted with school closures and loss of jobs. OMIG wanted to
support the statewide nonprofit to help feed kids at risk of experiencing hunger.

“Ohio Mutual is committed to supporting our communities, as many families are struggling right now –
uncertain about what the future holds and where their next meal might come from,” said Ohio Mutual President and CEO Mark C. Russell. “We are pleased to support the Children’s Hunger Alliance and its efforts to provide for children whose food insecurity may be heightened during this pandemic.”

The gift presentation took place at Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Barnett branch, one of three grab-and-go meal sites operated by CHA in partnership with the library. Russell and Judy Mobley, CHA President and CEO, helped distribute meals to children at the library site today. Mobley said, “On behalf of Children’s Hunger Alliance, I am extremely grateful to Ohio Mutual Insurance Group for partnering with us in our work to feed children impacted by the pandemic. While many schools are continuing to feed their students, we’re working to fill the gaps in areas where children’s needs are not being met. Additionally, we are responding to various community partners who need support feeding children they serve. This generous donation will help us respond to the immediate needs of hungry children during this unprecedented time.”

Children’s Hunger Alliance provides free grab-and-go meals to children 18 and younger across Ohio, currently at over 70 sites and continues to add new sites daily.

A map-a-meal tool listing all of Children’s Hunger Alliance sponsored sites is available on their website.
