Ohio Mutual Awards Local Students Scholarships for Academic Excellence 2026

BUCYRUS, OH – Ohio Mutual Insurance Group congratulates the 2026 recipients of its annual Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award.

The three local recipients are:

* Payne DeGray is graduating from Colonel Crawford High School and attending the University of Saint Francis to study Business Finance, while continuing his football career.

* Rylie Hoepf is graduating from Colonel Crawford High School. Rylie will be attending The Ohio State University and plans to study Communications & Marketing.

* Andrew Ashley is graduating from Bucyrus High School and will be attending Heidelberg University to obtain a degree in Accounting.

“Ohio Mutual is dedicated to supporting local students through our scholarship program by providing financial assistance,” said Traci Oswald, Director of Human Resources & Corporate Services. “We recognize the impact education has on shaping future leaders and are proud to invest in these students as they pursue their goals. Congratulations to this year’s recipients on their accomplishments.”

The Ohio Mutual Crawford Opportunity Award is an annually renewable $1,500 scholarship offered to three individuals either living in or attending school in Crawford County, whose chosen field of collegiate study aligns with emerging opportunities in the insurance industry. The award is renewable for up to two additional years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum collegiate GPA of 3.0 / 4.0. Recipients studying risk management or actuarial science will receive an additional $500 in the second and third years of the award. An additional scholarship year is available to any recipient who also is selected for a summer internship at Ohio Mutual.
